Actress, singer, musical theater star, gay icon: Liza Minnelli. Always citing the past but acting in present, her image is an oddity of the entertainment industry. This book is neither another sentimental biography of her so-called tragic private life nor a pure scientific examination. It simply aims to analyze her single fields of work in theater, film, television, recording studio and on concert stage, which all perform together like a clockwork.

Martin Wimmer:Martin Wimmer was born 1991 in Weißenfels/Saxony-Anhalt, and studied art history, creative writing, culture and media education and theater studies in Merseburg, Mainz and Berlin. Always highly interested in the history of American film and theater as well as in the interwoven star system, he wrote Clockwork Liza during his studies in Mainz just for fun and self-published its original German edition by Books on Demand in 2018.This long overdue English-language edition was made possible by the active support of three wonderful people named Adrienne, Debo and Matt. They critically proofread the translation, suggested refinements and rephrased some of the weaker sentences. Wenn Sie ein E-Book, das Adobe® Digital Editions benötigt herunterladen, erhalten Sie eine ASCM-Datei, die zu Digital Editions hinzugefügt und mit Ihrem Account verknüpft werden muss. Einige E-Book Reader (zum Beispiel PocketBook Touch) unterstützen auch das direkte Eingeben der Login-Daten des Adobe Accounts – somit können diese ASCM-Dateien direkt auf das betreffende Gerät kopiert werden.
Da E-Books nur für eine begrenzte Zeit – in der Regel 6 Monate – herunterladbar sind, sollten Sie stets eine Sicherheitskopie auf einem Dauerspeicher (Festplatte, USB-Stick oder CD) vorsehen. Auch ist die Menge der Downloads auf maximal 5 begrenzt.
